Freedom!

What does it means to be in bondage? Not just physical bondage but spiritual bondage. To be in bondage is to be constrained in your mind, body and spirit. When you are in bondage, you truly feel as if you are trapped somewhere and you are powerless to leave. There is someone or something more powerful than you that controls ever aspect of your life.

The common form of bondage that we know of is prison. In jail you are powerless. You are told when to get up in the morning, eat, exercise, and sleep.

There is a bondage that occurs outside the walls of a jail. These prisoners are in bondage to their bodies, homes, families, jobs, pocket book, alcohol or drugs. Though it’s not outwardly physical you feel hopeless, dependent on the things that control you the most. Like the person in jail, sooner or later you too will feel as if you have nothing to live for, in fact you don’t live; you just exist until you die.

Is there hope, can anyone break the chains of bondage that you are feeling?

Luke 4:18-19
“18 The Spirit of the Lord is on Me, because He has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim freedom to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed, 19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor”

Whether you are in prison or walking the streets daily, freedom is available to you in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. He came to provide freedom to you and to set you free from the bondage of sin. By simply asking, He is ready, willing, and able to unlock the chains the bind you and give you a spirit of freedom you have never known. It’s a freedom that will never depart from you no matter where you are in life!

2 Corinthians 3:17
“Now the Lord is the Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”

Do you desire to be totally free? To have a sense of liberty and happiness you have never experienced before! Do you want a freedom that nothing can ever take away?

Do you want a freedom that will last for eternity?

Then simply ask Jesus to set you free and remember this;

Whoever the Son sets free, they are free indeed!!
